Our highly trained staff members are here to provide a safe play space for your pets.

All staff members are trained through PetTech for Pet First Aid and CPR training and FetchFind as a secondary source for dog behavioral training. 


Lauren B

While attending school for Zoology, her passion for animals quickly lead her into the pet care industry. After finding her place in the dog daycare world for several years, Lauren received an opportunity to own and operate her own facility and so The Doghouse of LC&L was born. She is certified to teach Pet First Aid and CPR, a member of The Gladstone Chamber, and an active participant in multiple pet rescues.

Gabby H
General Manager

Gabriela joined our team in 2018 and was brought on as the morning receptionist. She enjoys being with the clients and making sure all of our guest have a wonderful experience. Gabi has several years of experience in the customer service industry and the majority of that time was spent in a supervisor position. Wanting a change in career; she began walking dogs professionally and from that point she wanted to  pursue her love of working with dogs professionally. Gabriela has two pups of her own Lola and Louie that love visiting her at work.

Jeannie M
Grooming Manager

Professionally grooming for 40 years- Jeannie is no stranger to the pet care industry. Jeannie has been a member of The Dog House family since it’s opening in 2016. She prides herself in her ability to handle any dog and  produce outstanding work! Her dedication to pet care follows her into her personal life; Jeannie is a board member for the New Life for Paws rescue and contributes to the Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation by lending them her grooming skills. 

Zara V
Kennel Supervisor

After being a part of the kennel industry for 3 years,  Zara knew there’s no place she would rather be. She enjoys learning new ways to improve her skills and plans on exploring every avenue of the dog industry. She absolutely loves dogs! Zara always treats each dog as if they were her own-with their health and safety being her top priority.

Overnight Kennel Attendant

Christina knew from a young age that she loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs. Wanting to begin her journey in the animal care world Christina began studying at Elmhurst College for a degree in biology while volunteering at various animal shelters. After graduating and putting several years of experience under her belt with animal care, Christina decided to join The Dog House team. She enjoys caring for all of our guest and has found a passion for our rescues- she loves seeing them find their forever home! When she is not helping others, Christina enjoys spending time with her own dog, going on outdoor adventures, and socializing with her friends. 

Gabi P
Kennel Attendant

In 2017, Gabi began working with animals at a veterinary hospital where she discovered her talent for animal care. The following year, she became a kennel attendant to continue her education in the pet care field. When Gabi is not caring for her clients and their pets she is working towards her AA in Liberal Arts, trying to train her red eared slider “Linda” to dance, and napping with her boxer “Borys.” 

Jackie B

Beginning her career as a kennel attendant in 2013, Jacque decided to expand her skill set by becoming a dog bather. Finding that she enjoyed working with dogs in a grooming aspect, she began her journey into the world of dog grooming. In 2016 she officially began grooming fulltime and has fallen in love with the transformations she is able to accomplish through grooming. Jacque also brings her sidekick and a New Life for Paws rescue, “Nala”, to work and enjoys pampering her! 

Kaitlin M
Kaitlin began working in the animal care field in 2018. Kaitlin soon realized how much joy it brought her to work with dogs on a daily basis. She grew up in a household with dogs, often more than one, and that experience eventually led her to The Dog House.  Although Kaitlin does not have dogs of her own, this provides her with an opportunity to shower all of our four-legged guests with love! When she is not taking care of pups, you can find her working in a professional theater setting as a stage manager. 
Katie M
Kennel Attendant

Katie began her career over eleven years ago and since then she has gained experience in multiple fields. Katie is highly qualified, with the majority of her experience being in the kennel industry. Katie is so excited to join our team! She has two dogs of her own, one who loves daycare as much as Katie does, and the other is a little old man that snuggles with her after work. Katie enjoys keeping busy with all of the work here and she enjoys bringing her fun side to entertain the dogs. She is so proud of her work and wishes to continue to enrich all of the dog’s lives. 

Liz K

Liz has been a part of The Dog House family for over four years. She started as a kennel attendant, receptionist, and bather while attending the Midwest School of Pet Grooming. Liz has been grooming professionally for the past 3 years. She absolutely loves grooming! To her it’s not only about the transformation of your pet, but seeing the pet parents happy with her work! She loves getting to know each individual and helping their pups become the best they can be.  She has a small dog of her own that travels to work with her, “Demona”, who loves to greet the grooming clients- make sure to say hello! 

Megan M
Kennel Attendant

Megan began her animal care career as a volunteer for various rescues in her spare time. After several months of working with rescues, she knew that she wanted to continue this line of work, leading her to join our team. Megan learned to value a dogs perspective in life- knowing how badly some of the rescues were treated, they never gave up, and never stopped loving. She wishes to continue helping rescues and explore other aspects of the dog world in hopes of one day to help as many dogs as possible find their place in life!

Overnight Kennel Attendant

Michael was pursuing a career in Business Law before he realized there was something missing in his life. Not knowing what he needed to change, he was introduced to the wonderful world of dogs and everything began to fall into place. Michael started a career as a kennel attendant and never looked back! Working with dogs brought him happiness and clarity in his life that he wishes to give to others. He has found his home at The Dog House and loves every moment he gets to spend with our clients. Recently, he found a new friend that he adopted and completely adores her! 

Rachel D
Kennel Attendant

Rachel began her career as a dog bather in 2012 and decided to continue her education by attending the Midwest School of Pet Grooming to receive her grooming certification. Wanting to explore every avenue of the pet industry, she sought out to pursue dog handling and has enjoyed learning about proper dog socialization. With her pup Moose tracks, she loves the relationships she builds with both two and four-legged guests alike.
