As a family owned business we pride ourselves in putting you and your pet first.  

Our highly trained staff  members provide a safe play space for your pets.

All staff members are certified through PetTech for Pet First Aid & CPR Training and FetchFind as a secondary source for dog behavioral training.


Lauren B

While attending school for Zoology, her passion for animals quickly lead her into the pet care industry. After finding her place in the dog daycare world for several years, Lauren received an opportunity to own and operate her own facility and so The Doghouse of LC&L was born. She is certified to teach Pet First Aid and CPR, a member of The Gladstone Chamber, and an active participant in multiple pet rescues.

Skyllar S
General Manager

Starting out in the pet care world as a bather and groomers apprentice, he transferred over into the kennel industry to start his journey that led him here. In 2016, Skyllar was hired on as the General Manager of The Dog House, with years of experience in the kennel field, training, and a whole lifetime of love for dogs, he hopes to make each interaction with all guests of our company worthwhile.

Jeannie M
Grooming Manager

Professionally grooming for 40 years- Jeannie is no stranger to the pet care industry. Jeannie has been a member of The Dog House family since it’s opening in 2016. She prides herself in her ability to handle any dog and  produce outstanding work! Her dedication to pet care follows her into her personal life; Jeannie is a board member for the New Life for Paws rescue and contributes to the Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation by lending them her grooming skills. 

Gabby H
Receptionist Supervisor

Gabriela joined our team in 2018 and was brought on as the morning receptionist. She enjoys being with the clients and making sure all of our guest have a wonderful experience. Gabi has several years of experience in the customer service industry and the majority of that time was spent in a supervisor position. Wanting a change in career; she began walking dogs professionally and from that point she wanted to  pursue her love of working with dogs professionally. Gabriela has two pups of her own Lola and Louie that love visiting her at work.

Zara V
Kennel Supervisor

After being a part of the kennel industry for 3 years,  Zara knew there’s no place she would rather be. She enjoys learning new ways to improve her skills and plans on exploring every avenue of the dog industry. She absolutely loves dogs! Zara always treats each dog as if they were her own-with their health and safety being her top priority. 

Jackie B

Beginning her career as a kennel attendant in 2013, Jacque decided to expand her skill set by becoming a dog bather. Finding that she enjoyed working with dogs in a grooming aspect, she began her journey into the world of dog grooming. In 2016 she officially began grooming fulltime and has fallen in love with the transformations she is able to accomplish through grooming. Jacque also brings her sidekick and a New Life for Paws rescue, “Nala”, to work and enjoys pampering her! 

Liz K

Liz has been a part of The Dog House family for over four years. She started as a kennel attendant, receptionist, and bather while attending the Midwest School of Pet Grooming. Liz has been grooming professionally for the past 3 years. She absolutely loves grooming! To her it’s not only about the transformation of your pet, but seeing the pet parents happy with her work! She loves getting to know each individual and helping their pups become the best they can be.  She has a small dog of her own that travels to work with her, “Demona”, who loves to greet the grooming clients- make sure to say hello! 

Gabi P
Kennel Attendant

In 2017, Gabi began working with animals at a veterinary hospital where she discovered her talent for animal care. The following year, she became a kennel attendant to continue her education in the pet care field. When Gabi is not caring for her clients and their pets she is working towards her AA in Liberal Arts, trying to train her red eared slider “Linda” to dance, and napping with her boxer “Borys.”
